Jeremy Ervine is a young filmmaker and wishes to invite you to a screening of his upcoming film, Fade to Black - a powerful, controversial and confronting documentary about assisted dying in Australia.

This is an important film that looks at the issue of assisted dying, or voluntary euthanasia from all points of view and will challenge your views on the subject, regardless if you are for or against.

The film is about Peter Short, the charismatic CEO of a Shell Coles Express in Australia, who learns that he has only months to live after he is diagnosed with terminal oesophageal cancer. Not wanting to face a painful death, Peter decides to source the lethal drug Nembutal, giving him the option to end his own life peacefully. With the help of a rogue doctor who supplies the drug to suffering patients, Peter sets out to have voluntary euthanasia legalised in Australia.

This film has been a charitable endeavour about this important social issue and would love people in the community to help spread the world about the film.

We have a screening of this film in Wagga Wagga on Thursday 14th September. Tickets need to be purchased in advance on the Demand Film website from the following links, not at the theatre. Click on the Visit Website link below to reserve your ticket.

Additional screenings are being added every day, so please check the Demand Film website for an updated listing of upcoming sessions.

Fade to Black premiered in Melbourne in early August to sold-out audiences and has been getting exceptional reviews and feedback online. Described by Urban Cinefile as "informative, sensitive and moving".

The documentary has been featured on Channel 7, 9, 10 and the ABC recently. Listen to this week's interview with Dr Rodney Syme on Kyle and Jackie O ahead of the Sydney premiere. Click on the Soundcloud link below.
